The Control Center is a single place to make changes to key parameters on Workspace and Project levels. This article will discuss the Workspace tab of the Control Center. To learn more about the Projects tab of the Control Center, visit the Project Control Center help article.

The Control Center allows you to access:

  • Project Templates

  • Milestone (List) Templates

  • Task Templates

  • Template Import

  • Tags Management

  • User Tags Management

Additionally, the Workspace Owner or any Custom Role with the Manage Workspace Settings permission enabled can access:

  • Workspace Chat Settings

  • Time Tracking Settings

  • Localization Options

Accessing the Control Center

The Control Center can be accessed via the dropdown menu in the top left of Nifty.

Doing so will automatically bring you to the Workspace tab of the Control Center. You can also access this tab by opening the Control Center on a Project level and selecting the Workspace Tab.

The Workspace tab is found in the top left of the menu.

Templates

The Control Center makes it easy to manage Project, Milestone/List, and Task Templates, as well as import Templates. To learn more about these, please reference the following articles:

User & Task Tag Management

Task and User Tags can both be managed in the Control Center.

Tag Management

Tags can be created, edited, and deleted via the Manage Tags section of the Workspace tab of the Control Center.

Merging Tags

You will be provided an option to merge two tags that have the same name by selecting Start merging.

Next, select the Tags you'd like to Merge and click on the Merge button.

Once the merge is complete, Tasks with either of the previous Tags will be updated accordingly.

User Tags

User Tags can be created and managed via the Control Center. To learn more about how User Tags work and ways to apply them, please visit our User Tags article.

Miscellaneous Setting Management

Workspace Owner or any Custom Role with the Manage Workspace Settings permission enabled can access this section of the Control Panel.

Chat Settings

  • Workspace Chat allows for members of your Workspace (non-Guests) to direct message one another and create group chats outside of Projects. Toggling this off will remove the Direct Chat module from the Workspace.

  • Guest Chat allows for Guests to engage in one-on-one direct messages with the Owner of the Workspace. Toggling this off will hide the Direct Chat module from Guests.

Time Tracking

In this screen you can select the default time tracker for the Workspace. All members of the Workspace will automatically use the same time tracking solution.

Localization

Localization allows you to personalize your Workspace settings for you and your team.

Default Languages

You can select the default language for members of your Workspace (non-Guests) as well as for Guests to ensure Nifty is approachable for them from day one.

Note that these language settings can be overridden by individual users based on their preference selected during onboarding or from within their Profile Settings.

Disable Weekends

Selecting to Disable weekends will remove Saturday and Sunday from Calendar and Roadmap screens within the Workspace.

Workspace Operating Hours

Workspace Operating Hours indicate the expected time of collaboration within your Workspace. The Workspace Start and End times will also set the default Start and Due times for Tasks and Milestones within the Workspace.
