The Dashboard is a project's home screen -- the place you go to feel at ease. It's the space of your project that ties everything you're working on, and everyone you're working with, all together. This is the first screen every project member sees upon joining the project.

Anatomy of the Dashboard
Your Dashboard consists of widgets which provide insights into your project. Widgets can be enabled or disabled on a per-user basis, or standardized for all collaborators by saving it and setting it as default.
Adding a Widget
You can add widgets to your Dashboard via the + Add Widget button at the top of the screen.
Expanding / Collapsing Widgets
Some widgets can be expanded into larger dimensions for an improved reading experience. Once expanded, they can be collapsed. Expanding and collapsing widgets are indicated with arrows pointing out (to expand) and in (to collapse).
Removing a Widget
A widget can be removed via the X button in the top right of its panel. Once removed, it can be added again following the above steps.
Saving Dashboard Layouts and Sharing with Others
Once you have a Dashboard layout you like, you can save the view for future use. Visit the view selector between the + Add Widget and Automate buttons. The selector will say Default if you've not yet saved a view.
Within the dropdown menu, select + Create a new dashboard. This will create an Untitled board of your current layout which can be renamed and shared with others via its option dot menu on hover.
Setting a Default Layout
Once you've saved a dashboard view and shared it with others, you can set it as the default dashboard of the project via the Set as default option in the view's option dot menu.
Widget Types
Below are the types of widgets that can be added to your Dashboard.
Project Outline
Above your Dashboard widgets is the Project Outline. This common text space is shared amongst members of the project and is the ideal spot for outlining the project brief or scope of whatever this project is about. You might use it to outline the project's goals, define roles and responsibilities, and set expectations for what's to come.
Text styling within the Project Outline is available upon hover. By default, the Account Owner, Project Owner, and Admins can update the text within the Overview.
Project Fields
Project Fields empower you to standardize information across projects in cross-project reporting. Visit the Project Fields article to learn more.
Manage Project Members
The Project Members section is fantastic for quickly inviting teammates and Guest collaborators to your project.
Once they're part of the project, a member's Workspace Role will be visible as well as any User Tags that have been applied to them.
Activity Log
The project's Activity Log sits to the right of the Project Outline and keeps track of actions within the project. Below are the items tracked within the Activity Log:
Project creation
Project Members joining / leaving
Milestone created
Milestone completed
Milestone dependency unlocked
Task created
Task completed
File uploaded
Doc uploaded
Project Modules
Many of the Dashboard widgets are micro-sized versions of your project's modules. By customizing your dashboard around your specific needs, you can interact with a project in its entirety without needing to visit the different modules across the top of the project.
Milestones
Track the progress of project Milestones, and click on a Milestone to open it and see its tasks.
Tasks
Focus on tasks assigned to you, or filter through the different Statuses of the project.
Discussions
Engage in your project Discussions in a reduced window to get more done from a single screen.
Docs
Upload or open Project Docs from your Home widget.
Files
Upload or open Files from your Home widget.
Time Tracking
Managed time tracked on tasks within the project based on the inputted date range. Click on the widget header to open the project Time Log flyout menu where you can download a time report.
Report Widget
Report widgets allow you to create custom graphs to track workflow metrics and KPIs. To learn more about how to create report widgets, visit our Project Reports & Dashboards help article.
