When a Project is created, it is given an ID that is applied to the Tasks within the project. This ID is typically generated based on the Project's name and is applied to Tasks to make linking tasks and mentioning tasks in conversations easy.

You're able to customize a project's Task ID from within your Project Settings found in the dropdown menu of the Project.

Once in Project Settings, update the Project short-name to the desired term. This term must be between 2-5 characters.

After entering the desired short-name, be sure to Save changes.

Task IDs in the project will now have the new name reflected. This will be updated everywhere tasks with the old name were being utilized.
