The automated integrations between Nifty and Teams empower collaboration, improve task management, and streamline workflow efficiency.
Nifty offers two types of Teams integrations:
Nifty Bot for Teams: Create Tasks, Statuses, Milestones, and Docs in a Nifty project
MS Teams Automations: Update MS Teams based on actions taken in a Nifty project
Nifty Bot for Teams
This integration allows you to use commands with the Nifty Bot within Teams to create content in Nifty.
Integrating Nifty Bot for Teams
Navigate to and select the Apps section of your Teams sidebar and search for Nifty.
Add the Nifty PM app.
In the popup screen, Add the Nifty PM app, then select the channel you wish the Nifty Bot to exist in.
Integrating from Inside Nifty
Navigate to the App Center from your dropdown menu.
Inside your App Center, enable the Nifty Bot for Teams integration.
Using the Nifty Bot Integration
Use the following commands with the Nifty Bot to trigger actions inside of Nifty.
create task
: Creates a Task within Nifty
create
status: Create a new Status in Nifty
create document
: Create a Nifty Doc in Nifty
create milestone
: Create a new Milestone within Nifty
change workspace
: Change the Nifty Workspace you're integrate with

The Nifty Bot for Teams in Action
Below is an example of using the create task action through the Nifty Bot.
Start by typing create task
to initiate the Nifty Bot command, then Proceed.
Select the Project that the task should be created in, then select Next.
Once the project is specified, enter the task details and select Create to populate the task within Nifty.
MS Teams Automation
The MS Teams Automation allows you to use Nifty's automation builder to send updates to Teams based on customized criteria.
This integration allows you to send messages into Teams when:
A task is Created
A task is Completed
A task is Moved
A task is Overdue
A task is Reminding
Follow the above instructions to access the App Center, then enable the MS Teams Automation app.
Teams Automation App in Action
Below is an example of sending a message to a Teams channel when a Nifty task is created.
Start by accessing the Project Control Panel via the automations lightening bolt icon at the top of a project.
Next, locate the Microsoft Teams section of Integrations in the sidebar and begin and integration.
Configure the automation on the Nifty side and specify which Teams channel this automated should be sent in. Name and Create the automation.
Now that the automation is live, tasks created in this project will trigger a message in the specified Teams channel.
